Inspired by Asteroids, Suicide Mission (1982) takes place inside a human bloodstream, where players pilot a microscopic submarine fighting off a viral infection. Infected cells split into smaller components upon destruction, requiring careful, multi-stage elimination. The game offers multiple difficulty levels and two shooting styles: single torpedoes or rapid fire. The unique setting and layered gameplay make it one of the more creative Supercharger offerings, and a showcase of how the add-on enabled richer game design.
There’s a delightful
video review for this title, and while we may not be crazy about the name anymore, the idea of miniature submarine attacking infected blood cells and breaking them apart is still pretty cool. Take a look at the video, and if you’re interested in reviving this, please reach out.
