Epyx VCR Golf from 1988 is a board game that blends traditional golf strategy with real televised footage. Featuring 18 holes from world-famous courses like Pinehurst, Jupiter Hills, and Doral, players compete by selecting clubs, rolling dice, and triggering actual pro golf clips via VCR to determine the outcome of each shot.
Play solo or with up to three opponents as you move from tee to green, strategizing each stroke. Club cards offer preset distances, dice rolls add unpredictability on the green, and the VCR segments—licensed from ABC Sports and the PGA—bring the realism of televised golf into your living room.
Like the other VCR-based games, we’re not interested in reviving these titles. There is a comprehensive write-up of this title at
Board Game Geek if you’d like to learn more about it.
